WHAT IS ELECTROSTATIC PAINTING? HOW DOES IT WORK?
Electrostatic painting has been around since the early 1950's. The process requires special paint equipment used to induce a static charge into the paint as it is being sprayed onto the surface. Like opposite magnetic poles, the positively charged paint is attracted to the grounded, negative surface it's being applied to, eliminating airborne particles. SURFACE PREPARATION:
All surfaces are thoroughly sanded to maximize adhesion. Tape and labels are removed. Then the surface is cleaned with an industrial solvent. Handles, number tags, label holders, and other "no paint" items are masked. This is all done by the Dura Bond crew... leaving you free from any worries or hassles with preparing the job site. This is all time well spent; thorough surface preparation is a very important element in any high quality finishing process.
